United Nations Day 2022- Celebration

  • Pacifica Institute Orange County 13742 Jamboree Road Irvine, CA, 92602 United States (map)

On October 24, 1945, the United Nations was created. Every year for the month of October, UNA-USA and its 200+ chapters around the country host events celebrating the UN and the tremendous value it brings to our world.

The theme for this year's Gala Celebration Event is "Nourishing Peace", to show how the key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) involving Peace, People, and Planet are completely intertwined with a focus on Goal #2, to end Hunger.

You are invited to come celebrate with us the birthday of our one and only United Nations, and to learn more about the importance of our achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the world. Our mantra to "Think Globally, Act Locally" applies to our own community here in Orange County as we work on helping us face our local issues head-on.

Dinner will be prepared and hosted by members of the local non-profit Kherut, a local leader for Global Goals, which empowers survivors of sex trafficking, domestic violence, sexual abuse, imprisonment, and young women aging out of foster care in a safe and supportive environment. Reserve your seat at the table now by registering HERE.
